Explore & Discover Qualification
The Arts Award is a diverse qualification validated by Trinity College London and available to anyone up to the age of 25 years. It inspires students to connect and participate in the wider arts and challenges participants in a range of art forms. Northern Dance Academy currently offers the Explore and Discover Arts Award qualification through the practice and exploration of dance. The Arts Award progresses through five levels and engages students to:
• Discover the enjoyment of creating and participating in dance activities
• Experience arts events
• Develop creative and communication skills
• Explore the work of artists and gain insights into the professional arts world
• Gain experience and knowledge to help progress into further education and employment
There are no entry requirements or time limit for completing the award. Arts Award’s flexible framework means it can fit around a wide range of arts, cultural and heritage activities and projects, including creative and technical roles.
